Review last year

Reviewing the results of last year when the World Cup for men took place in Oberwart, we now have more knowledge.
Dimitri Peters won his second World Cup and was in a good shape in the beginning of the season. He felt the temperature of the bathwater again in June when participating at two European Cups and in London he struck with a surprising bronze medal. Or maybe it was just a good build up to the Olympics.

Levan Tsiklauri took the victory for Georgia U81kg. His opponent was later bronze Olympian Antoine Valois-Fortier of Canada. He won five battles in Oberwart. Tsiklauri is experienced and won all six.
Oberwart, or what used to be Vienna, is always an appreciated station for many Asian competitors. Jun-Ho Cho (KOR) won bronze in Austria and bronze in London. Also Kim Sung-Min won the World Cup and finished in the top five of the Olympics.

This year the European Open is for women.
