European Team history in Hungary

For the third time in history Hungary is organizing the European Team Championships. Twice as single event, in 2005 in Debrecen and in 2009 in Miskolc. Again four years later Hungary is the proud host of the best European teams, among them World Team Champion Russia.
In 2009 Hungary won the men's event at home, and the Hungarians have a talented team.

The women are of an extreme high level Eva Csernoviczki won a bronze medal U48kg at the first day. Last year she also won a bronze medal at the European Championships in Chelyabinsk. Last year Abigel Jóo claimed the European title in Russia by defeating the reigning World Champion. At the Olympic Games she was extremely close to another medal, but due to an injury she couldn’t lift the success even higher. 2009 And 2010 vice World Champion Anett Meszaros is capable to beat the best and former world medallist Hedvig Karakas was among the top 5 best athletes at the Olympic Games. Last year Hungary celebrated the European U23 title for Franziska Szabo and medals at European Junior and Cadet Championships.
