EJU PROVIDES VITAL SUPPORT FOR UKRAINIAN ATHLETES AT EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR JUNIORS

The on-going tense political situation in Ukraine has caused widespread major financial difficulties for every sector of the Ukrainian economy. The Ukrainian Judo Federation is not immune and, with its bank account frozen, faces huge problems with regard to the attendance of its young athletes at the forthcoming Junior European Championships in Bucharest. In an effort to assist the Ukrainian judo federation, EJU President Mr. Sergey Soloveychik and President of the the hosting Romanian Judo Federation Mr. Doru Ioan Sapta have agreed to support and enable the Ukrainian youngsters to participate by covering the missing amount of their accommodation costs at the championships.
