JUNIORS: NEXT STATION PRAGUE

Prague will host the Junior European Judo Cup this weekend. More than 450 young athletes from 40 countries will take part in this tournament. Apart of strong European teams Prague will also welcome a couple of teams from overseas and it will be possible to see young hopes from Korea, Canada and USA on the tatami.

On of the medal hopes of the Czech judo fans is Marketa Paulusova (+78kg) who won the European Cups in Coimbra and La Coruna earlier this year. Also the performance of Vera Zemanova (-57 kg) in Ekaterinburg this Wednesday seemed to be promising and hopefully she will be able to add a medal from Prague into her collection.

A new judo-gi design will be tested the first time during the tournament.
