In Cologne in 1978 Jane Bridge wins her 2nd European title. Bridge won 3 European titles in total and became world champion in 1980. She became the first women’s world champion U48kg in 1980 in New York.She won veteran World Championships in Rio in 2007 in the same category, 27 years later.
After her competitive career 48 kgs Bridge became a bodyguard to people like Sylvester Stallone and Alain Delon.
She has also been nation al trainer for Great Britain between and 1993 and 1997. She was trainer at Bath University in 2007-2008 and trained Maisons-Alfort during 2 years (1999-2000). After that she trained the women’s team of ACS Peugeot-Mulhouse for 6 years (2001-2007). She is now national Trainer f the Great Britain team until the Olympic Games of 2012.
Today in 1994, TSV Abensberg defeated Racing Club de France in the European Cup final in Paris on their home ground.
