Today in the history: 27 DecemberAt the Russian Championships today in 1992 Khasei Bisultanov, better known as Huseyin Ozkan wins U60kg title. Bisultanov later moved to Turkey and won the Olympic title in 2000 At the Sydney Olympic Games under the name of Ozkan.
In 1999 he was already World Championships runner-up for his new country Turkey.
Ozkan was European junior champion in 1991 and already a promising fighter at young age.

Also Selim Tataroglu won the Russian title in 1992. For him about the same scenario. He was born in Tsjetsjenia under the name of Zelimkhan Magomedov and moved to Turkey and won four World Championships medals. Even more incredible is his number of European medals. He won four European titles between 1997 and 2004 and twelve European medals!
