This weekend the European Cup in Celje will take place. Approximately 480 competitors have inscribed for the important qualification tournament. For many participants this will be used for the qualification of the European U23 Championships later this year or even to decide who will qualify for the World Championships in August in Paris.
This year it is very well seeded and even stronger than before when almost 400 judoka took part. This year in total 24 nations participate.
Obviously a lot is expected of the local stars Rok Draksic (U60), Lucija Polavder (+78), Urska Zolnir (U63).
The organizers look forward to the start of the tournament on Saturday and expect the best and strongest European Cup ever.
