The answer is no. Whilst in both sports they were a very similar looking uniforms, it is important to know that they are very different in several aspects in which a martial arts can be analysed. Karate is a striking sport whilst judo is more like a grappling sport. Therefore, one is not better then the other, they are just simply different.
