Marhinde Verkerk won the 11th ever World Title of The Netherlands today in the Weight class U78kg in Rotterdam.
Verkerk couldn’t believe her performances: “It’s absolutely fantastic! I had a good feeling about this for weeks. I have trained very hard and physically I was in perfect shape. I didn’t feel tired in between the matches and I felt incredibly strong.”
“I started a bit rusty in the first match and was afraid to go for it and getting a counter attack. But after that I felt better and better. I wanted to get everything out of this.”
“I have really enjoyed the crowd and the place. I want to thank the public for their great support. I didn’t feel any pressure because of the crowd.”
