OTC Going for Gold in Malaga in full force

The OTC, Going for Gold training centre in Malaga is a great success. Judoka from many parts of the EJU came to train to Malaga. The OTC started at 2 November and ends on Thursday. Some athletes have already left to get prepared for their forthcoming event such as the European U23 Championships or Grand Prix of Amsterdam.

The OTC’s are meant to give the ultimate basis for good European results and therefore the European Judo Union provides the best opportunities to its teams’ of athletes, coaches and referees to prepare themselves in the best conditions for the 2012 London Olympics.

Malaga is a popular place to train in this time of the year and the judoka could enjoy the good facilities.
Judoka of approx. twenty countries took part with big international names such as the Russian team with many international stars like Mikhailine, Dongouzashvili, Nifontov, Mogushkov and many more. The Dutch team with Henk Grol and the Elmont brothers, Germany with Ole Bischof, Austria with the recovered Filzmoser, Hungary with Csernoviczki, Switzerland with Robra, Azerbaijan with Mammadli, Estonia with Padar and Rothberg and a strong Turkish team with Kocaturk and delegations outside the EJU such as Egypt, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
