A lot of teams have registered for the World Championships in Rotterdam. At the moment more than 250 athletes have confirmed to participate. Almost half of them from Europe. Amongst them two Olympic Champions Alina Dumitru (ROU) and Ole Bischof (GER). The third European Olympic Champion, Giulia Quintavalle (ITA) will soon confirm her participation. Elnur Mammadli (AZE) is injured and will not participate.
Seven (former) World Champions have confirmed to Rotterdam. Four of them are French: Riner, Lebrun, Decosse and Emane. The other three Dutch: Bosch, Elmont and Houkes.
Olympic medallist Deborah Gravenstijn is so far the oldest participant(35 in August) just before European Champion Esther San Miguel from Spain (34). They will however not be the oldest as Justice Justus Ssali from Uganda also subscribed. He’s 45 years young. Can you believe that !
