We’ve only just vacated the city of Prague following the junior European championships, but many are congregating to open the annual European Week of Sport.
The 2022 edition will run from the 23rd of September until the 30th, with the opening ceremony commencing at 11:30am CEST which will be streamed live HERE.
Every year, the European Week of Sport helps to tackle the inactivity crisis by encouraging Europeans to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle. It was launched in 2015 to respond to the growing crisis of inactivity. Sport and physical activity makes a significant contribution to the well-being of European citizen, unfortunately, the level of physical activity is stagnating and even declining in some countries.
We as the EJU have formed new initiatives and goals to encourage our various generations back in to judo life following the pandemic crisis, and to help not only the federations but the individuals back to their feet and helping themselves by having an active lifestyle.
