Q&A: WITH TRIPLE OLYMPIC MEDALLIST EDITH BOSCH

It has happened recently that the selection of bookstores has been expanded with a new, outstanding piece of work around The Netherlands. The protagonist of the book is triple Olympic medallist (2004, 2008, 2012), triple World medallist (2003, 2005, 2011) and World Champion (2005 Cairo), Dutch judo legend, Edit Bosch. The name of the hardcover called, Expeditie Edith. Find out more about the insight via our brief interview.

What is the book about?

My book is a biography which is about my life. My youth, my judo career. I am writing about the athlete and about the human side. What people always see is an athlete winning an Olympic medal and smiling on a podium. But to win a medal on that level their is a lot to overcome.

Why did you write this book?

I wrote this book to inspire people that it doesn’t matter who you are (athlete, CEO or manager) everybody has his challenges. If you truly dare to look in a mirror and self reflect you can overcome almost anything and grow fast and to a high level.

What is your job at the moment?

At the moment I am a performance coach (in business) my specialty is energy management. I create more awareness about finding a balance in work-privet life, looking at 4 pillars physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. I coach individuals and teams in business to higher performance. I do this with my colleagues and friends in our company (www.peak4.nl).

What is coming next – any plans?

What is up next. I don’t know for sure. The only thing I am doing is living my passion and that is to work with people, behavior and what lies beneath. I am going to Rio de Janeiro to enjoy and experience the Olympic games. That, I am looking forward to.
