SARAJEVO TO HOST OPENING U15 EVENT 

The first of the newly established European Judo Hopes Cup & Technical Session Kodokan Experts will be held from 20-21 April in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Arena Hills waits for all enthusiastic young judoka as they venture in what likely to be their first official EJU experience. This is a two- day event for all athletes and judoka are required to attend both, the competition and technical sessions. With that, on this occasion, participants will have the opportunity to learn from Kodokan Expert and Sydney 2000 Olympic champion, TAKIMOTO Makoto as well as Tokyo 2020 Olympic bronze medallist, Maria CENTRACCHIO. 

The participants of this event will compete for their respective judo club, not for their national federations. IJF nationality rule does not apply for these events. The duration of each contest is 3 minutes. Standard rules apply with the exemption of shime-waza and kansetsu-waza. Participants must be at the age of 13 or 14-year-old (born in 2010 or 2011). Weight categories as follow;

Boys: -38kg, -42kg, -46kg, -50kg, -55kg, -60kg, -66kg, -73kg, +73kg – (9 categories) 

Girls: -36kg, -40kg, -44kg, -48kg, -52kg, -57kg, -63kg, -70, + 70kg – (9 categories) 

Registration

All participants and delegates must be registered for this event in the JudoManager registration system. Existing JudoManager users (club administrators) can log into the system using their current account (either guest or club account). To request a new account, please visit https://admin.judomanager.com/guest and complete the form to gain access. Once your account is confirmed, you will be able to register athletes/coaches. Deadline for Registration is Friday, April 05th 2024. Those who miss the registration date can be added to the competition as late entry but the penalty of €60 (additionally to the €50 participation fee) has to be paid on spot.
