SUCCESSFUL FIRST WEEK OF JUDO FESTIVAL IN ANTALYA

SUCCESSFUL FIRST WEEK OF JUDO FESTIVAL IN ANTALYA

After one week at the Judo Festival in Antalya many activities have proved hugely successful. First of all: the OTC training camp. The mat is full on each randori session. But the most important thing: the judoka don’t simply spend their time practising together on the mat, they are also having a lot of fun at the Pine Beach resort by playing waterball, beachvolleyball or other fun activities and games.

Meanwhile the daily „Judo Animation Zone“ has finished after one week of practise between young children from families who are holidaying here and taking their first steps in judo, alongside experienced international athletes and local judoka. Also the children’s day and the Club visit in Antalya were successful and generated a great deal of interest motivating children on the tatami. Many Experts from different areas, like the EJU-experts and coach commission had intensive meetings. One highlight was the Barbecue where Majlinda Kelmendi, current European and World champion, received the EJU-Award for the best female european judoka in 2013.

The first week of the EJU  Judo Festival in the mediteranien coastal city of Antalya is drawn to a close. But still to look forward to is the Kodokan Seminar with the five Experts from Japan, and the Face to Face with our european famous judoka, and of course the OTC!
