75 DAYS TO GO!

European Judo Championships Seniors Podgorica 2025

75 DAYS TO GO!

The countdown continues! In just 75 days, the senior European Judo Championships will take centre stage in Podgorica, Montenegro, from 23-27 April 2025. This premier event will bring together Europe’s top judoka, all battling for continental glory and the chance to etch their names into judo history.

The European Judo Championships have been a key part of international judo since 1951 (for men) and 1975 (for women). Over the decades, judo powerhouses like France, Georgia and Russia have dominated the medal tally, while emerging nations such as Kosovo, Portugal and Italy continue to shake up the competition. This year, a mix of old and new generation of judoka will take to the tatami and 14 of them will rise to the challenge to claim European gold.

Kids Camp

Once again, this year’s championships won’t just be about elite-level competition, young judo fans will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get involved. A special Kids Camp will take place during the event in Budva, where the first half of the day will cater for children and their families to spend time on the mat with several experts, most of whom are former champions. After the morning sessions, kids from the camp will have the chance to watch their judo idols live in the arena, experiencing the intensity, technique and spirit of world-class judo up close. This initiative aims to inspire the next generation and bring them closer to their champions.

Only 75 days to go, are you ready for judo at its finest?
