The countdown continues! In just 75 days, the senior European Judo Championships will take centre stage in Podgorica, Montenegro, from 23-27 April 2025. This premier event will bring together Europe’s top judoka, all battling for continental glory and the chance to etch their names into judo history.

The European Judo Championships have been a key part of international judo since 1951 (for men) and 1975 (for women). Over the decades, judo powerhouses like France, Georgia and Russia have dominated the medal tally, while emerging nations such as Kosovo, Portugal and Italy continue to shake up the competition. This year, a mix of old and new generation of judoka will take to the tatami and 14 of them will rise to the challenge to claim European gold.
