From 2026 onwards, to raise the standard of visual media across all events, the European Judo Union will require that all photographers attending EJU competitions, whether affiliated with national federations or local organising committees, hold official certification or be recognised EJU photographers. To obtain this certification, individuals must attend the official EJU Online Photography Workshop. The final workshop of 2025 will take place on Tuesday, 30 September.
The EJU strongly encourages all photographers within its member federations to take part in this training. It’s an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, earn formal recognition, and play a key role in promoting judo through exceptional visual storytelling.
This workshop will offer invaluable guidance from leading professionals, practical techniques, and essential industry insights to help take your work to the next level. You’ll be learning directly from Gabriel Juan, EJU Head Photographer, and Emanuele Di Feliciantonio, IJF Photographer, two renowned experts in the world of judo imagery. Their session will not only help you capture compelling photographs but also deepen your understanding of sports photography within the judo context.
