The Language of Connection

Györ Get Together Tournament 2025

The Language of Connection

Sport is more than training, results, or medals. For many, stepping onto the mat, into the pool, or onto the pitch is a way of learning who they are and what they are capable of. It gives structure, confidence, and moments of joy that stay long after the sweat has dried.

When people practise sport, they share not only effort but also belonging. They discover strength in themselves and respect in others. This is why inclusion matters so deeply: because sport is not just for the fastest or the strongest, but for everyone willing to try.

When doors are open, sport becomes a language of connection. It teaches us that differences do not divide us, they enrich the game, and in that space, whether competing, training, or simply moving, people find something far greater than victory: they find themselves as well as each other.

Today, during the divisioning of the Győr Get Together Event, and, in truth, every day, all adapted judoka are walking through this journey of discovery. Comes tomorrow, this “language of connection” will continue as each athlete, with challenges of their own, takes to the mat to learn, to grow, and, most importantly, to enjoy their “pyjama game.”
