The European Judo Union, together with the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Zagreb and the Croatian Judo Federation, wishes to remind all interested participants that this is the third call for contributions to the 8th Scientific and Professional Conference on “Applicable Research in Judo”, taking place on 12–13 November 2025 in Zagreb, Croatia.



Over 20 countries, including several from overseas, have already shown interest in this event. It’s not too late to submit your research. Not a researcher but curious to observe? No problem, there is a place for everyone. Join us and take the opportunity to gain inspiration and ideas from leading experts in the field.
Purpose of the Conference
The conference continues its mission to:
- Connect judo science and practice
- Encourage the implementation of research and new technologies in judo
- Foster international collaboration among researchers and practitioners
- Promote judo’s positive impact on health, growth, education and development
- Support continuous improvement in coaching, athlete welfare and sports management
Contribution Opportunities
All judo experts, coaches, scientists and professionals are invited to submit their work in one of the following formats:
- Academic Papers (oral presentations)
- Professional Viewpoints (theoretical or applied perspectives)
- Practical Presentations (tatami-based demonstrations)

- Judo training for youth and high-performance athletes
- Judo for people with diverse abilities
- Injuries, safeguarding, and sustainability in judo
- Technical, pedagogical, physiological, psychological and anthropological analyses
- Judo ethics, falls and safety
