During the discussion with Minister Grima, the delegation highlighted that while Malta is a small nation, it has consistently punched above its weight on the world stage. Malta has successfully hosted numerous high-calibre events and remains remarkably active in international judo, contributing significant expertise at both the competitive and administrative levels.

“We are honoured by the warm welcome from Minister Grima,” stated EJU President Dr Tóth László. “The transition of our Treasury to Malta in 2025 has already yielded incredible results in terms of professional rigour. With the government’s commitment to hosting upcoming events, the future of Maltese judo is bright.”
