After an exciting opening day at the Sarajevo Judo Hopes Tournament 2026, Europe’s youngest judoka returned to the tatami with renewed energy, determination and a true sporting spirit.

New challenges awaited across the Arena Hills Sports Hall, offering the crowd another opportunity to witness impressive performances from rising talents, among whom the future stars of judo are undoubtedly emerging. The home nation once again had plenty to celebrate, with notable results achieved by Bosnian judoka on day two.
A new gold medal for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the second for her club, was secured by Adna Lukač (Judo Club Braća Lukač). Her club went on to finish third in the overall standings with two gold and three silver medals. The top spot in the general ranking was claimed by Partizan Belgrade (Serbia), while KBBKSK from Türkiye secured second place.

Beyond the medal table, the tournament also provided a valuable platform for young Bosnian referees to gain experience at a high-level event held under the auspices of the European Judo Union.
The Judo Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina once again confirmed its reputation as an excellent technical organiser. However, even greater organisational challenges lie ahead, with a busy calendar of major events on the horizon.
The European Kata Championships will take place in mid-May, followed by the World Veterans Championships and the World Veterans Kata Championships at the end of September. In addition, the federation will host the European Cup for Seniors (30–31 May) and the European Open (18–19 July), further cementing its position as a key player on the international judo stage.
