The Fighting Films Europe and the European Judo Union have officially entered a new partnership, marking the beginning of a collaboration focused on supporting the continued growth and development of judo across Europe.
Already a respected and recognisable name within the global judo community, Fighting Films Europe has built a strong reputation through its high-quality equipment, innovative judogi designs and close connection to athletes, clubs and federations. The newly signed agreement with the EJU represents an important step forward in strengthening those relationships across the continent.
For Fighting Films Europe CEO, Mr Joseph Bridge, the partnership is a natural progression in the company’s long-term vision.
“Fighting Films Europe has been growing steadily within the European judo community for many years. Formalising this partnership with the European Judo Union felt like a natural and important step in our development.
“Our long-term vision is to continue building Fighting Films Europe as a trusted judo brand in Europe, close to clubs, athletes, coaches and federations. This partnership represents our ambition to support the development of judo at every level, from young beginners and local clubs to international athletes competing on the biggest stages.”
More than simply increasing visibility at events, the partnership reflects a shared commitment to the wider judo community and the values that continue to drive the sport forward.
“For us, working with the EJU is not only about visibility,” Mr Bridge explained. “It is about being part of the European judo family and contributing to its growth with reliable equipment, strong service and a genuine passion for the sport.”
The company has long been recognised for combining technical quality with strong visual identity, producing judogi that stand out both in performance and design.

Among the examples highlighted by Mr Bridge is the company’s distinctive judogi inspired by the famous Great Wave of Kanagawa, blending judo tradition with elements of Japanese visual culture. Fighting Films Europe also offers customised designs tailored to clubs, teams and national federations, allowing organisations to reflect their own colours, identity and spirit through their equipment.
“This is an important part of our approach,” Mr Bridge continued. “Offering not only high-quality judo equipment but also products that carry a real sense of belonging and pride.”
The partnership also opens new opportunities for long-term cooperation between Fighting Films Europe and the wider European judo network, with the company aiming to become a reliable and committed partner both on and off the tatami.

“Success for us would be to see Fighting Films become a reference partner for judoka, clubs and federations across Europe,” said Mr Bridge.
“On the tatami, success means seeing athletes train and compete with confidence in our products, knowing they can rely on quality, comfort and durability. Off the tatami, success means building strong relationships, offering excellent service, developing customised solutions for clubs and federations, and contributing positively to the image and development of judo in Europe.”
As the European judo calendar continues to grow across all age groups and levels, the partnership between Fighting Films Europe and the EJU signals a shared ambition to support athletes and organisations with both quality equipment and a genuine investment in the future of the sport.
“If, through this partnership, more people discover Fighting Films Europe as a serious, passionate and reliable judo brand, then it will be a real success for us.” concluded Mr Bridge.
