AMSTERDAM HOSTS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR KATA AND VETERANS

The 2015 IJF World Championships Veterans and the World Championships Kata will be held in Amsterdam. This international event will promote judo in the capital city and the Netherlands in general. Willem Jan Stegeman, president of the Dutch Judo Federation: “We are very proud that these championships will take place in the city of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Judo has always been an important sport within the Netherlands. Judo is a perfect sport to practice your whole life. More and more the Dutch federation succeeds to further promote judo as a sport for veterans and kata. We believe the organisation of the world championships will once more stimulate everyone to become involved in judo.”

The World Championships Kata take place on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th of September, followed by the World Championships Veterans the next four days (21st-24th of September).
