BRATISLAVA IS SET FOR ANOTHER JUDO CUP

Almost 500 judoka from 34 countries are heading to compete at annual senior European Judo Cup in Bratislava, Slovakia, during the upcoming weekend. The tournament will take place at the Sport Hall “HANT Arena” where the field of play will see a mixture of current and newbies of the senior stage.

As of the women categories, the -48 kg has 19 entries, amongst listed Ana Viktorija PULJIZ (CRO), Mira ULRICH (GER) and Noa MINSKER (ISR). According the the list, the lightest weight division promises some exciting rounds. The -57 kg category will also be eye catching with athletes like Asimina THEODORAKIS (AUT), Myriam BLAVIER (BEL) and Amelie STOLL (GER). In the -63 kg watch out for Nadja BAZINSKY (GER) and Anna RIGHETTI (ITA). Italy will continue to danger in the -70 kg category with Carola PAISSONI and in the -78 kg category with Lucia TANGORRE. As per the male divisions, the -60 kg category received a heavy entry which displays and open field for potential medal winners. Experienced, Matjaz TRBVOC (SLO) will attend at the event competing in the -66 kg category. Freshly returned from Tokyo, SZABO Frigyes (HUN) will take on all challenges there is to have in the -73 kg category.  The Hungarians are heading to the neighbourhood with a robust young men team and expected to return with a large amount of medal tally.
