EJU determines OTC support for potential European Olympic medallists

This week the Olympic Training Camp in Mittersill will end. A great list of participants was present in Austria to train with eachother and meanwhile the Masters in Baku were held with good European results.
The OTC’s are meant to give the ultimate basis for good European results and therefore the European Judo Union wishes to give the best opportunities to its teams’ of athletes, coaches and referees to prepare themselves in the best conditions for the Olympics in London 2012.

This will be achieved by supporting a series of eight travelling training camps at a variety of locations within the European geographical area as specified above, and the EJU will cover the full cost of any athlete who is in the top three of the world ranking list.

It is important to know who is included for this support and it should also be adjusted according to the latest WRL.
The sports directors of the EJU have now determined when this allocation of support takes place.

> WRL following the Grand Prix Dusseldorf 19/20 February 2011 will be used to decide which EJU athletes qualify for support for Nymburk OTC and Tata OTC

> WRL following the EC Turkey 21/23 April for Orenburg OTC

> WRL following the Grand Slam Moscow 27/29 May, will be used to decided supported EJU athletes for OTC in Perpignan 2/9 July and Minsk OTC 17/22 July
