EJU PROJECT 'JUDOKAS: THE ORIGINALS' PUBLISHED BY IOC

This week we are delighted to share with the judo community a project that the EJU media and video production team have been working on behind closed doors with many of Europe’s Olympic athletes, some already in possession of an Olympic title this week!

The IOC published the ‘Judokas: The Originals’ project during the Olympic Games event and are excited for you all to see it, to find out more about your esteemed athletes and the true feelings of some of our legends along with some memorable IOC footage.

After many weeks of preparation, recording, translations and composition, we would like to say a huge thank you to our participants. We continuously say that ‘judo is more than sport’ and our athletes embody this on a day to day basis, whether it be during major championships or training camps, they were more than happy to assist and shed light on what it is like to be a professional judoka.

If you have seen any of the competition this week, this ethos is evident on the tatami, respectful in glory and gracious in defeat, it was a pleasure to work with these athletes and we wish the best of luck to the remaining contenders in Japan.
