EJU Week of Adapted Judo 2026

From Belgrade to Venray: One Week. Four Events. Endless Opportunities.

EJU Week of Adapted Judo 2026

What if one journey could offer competition, education, international training and lifelong friendships?

That is precisely the vision behind the EJU Week of Adapted Judo, a unique initiative that brings together four major international adapted judo events within a single week, creating one of the most comprehensive opportunities available anywhere in the world for athletes, coaches, clubs and national federations.

Designed to maximise participation and strengthen the global adapted judo community, the programme offers a practical and cost-effective solution for delegations looking to experience multiple high-level events during one international trip. Whilst open to all European nations, a particular emphasis has been placed on welcoming participants from outside Europe, encouraging greater international exchange and supporting the worldwide development of adapted judo.

The journey begins in Belgrade, Serbia, with the Open European Adapted Judo Championships, where athletes from different continents come together in an environment that perfectly balances inclusion and elite competition.

The championships provide European Championship competition for Levels 1 and 2 athletes, whilst Levels 3, 4 and 5 competitors have the opportunity to participate in an international adapted judo tournament, ensuring that judoka across the adapted judo spectrum can enjoy meaningful competitive opportunities.

Following the championships, participants remain in Belgrade for a two-day international adapted judo training camp. The camp creates an environment where athletes can continue their technical development, coaches can exchange knowledge and best practices, and federations can strengthen relationships that often extend well beyond the tatami.

It is these moments of learning, sharing and collaboration that embody the spirit of adapted judo and demonstrate the power of sport to connect people from different cultures, backgrounds and experiences.

The final stop on this remarkable journey takes participants to the Netherlands for the Triglav Insurance Venray Get Together, one of the longest-running and most respected adapted judo events in the world.

For decades, the Venray Get Together has stood as a symbol of inclusion, friendship and opportunity. It remains a highlight on the international adapted judo calendar and provides the perfect conclusion to a week dedicated to participation, personal growth and community. The icing on the cake is the opportunity for participants to remain in Venray for a full-day international training camp, adding yet another valuable experience to an already exceptional week.

For one extraordinary week, adapted judo takes centre stage. Nations come together, athletes inspire one another and the global judo community grows stronger. It is a celebration of the people who make it possible.
