EUROPEAN GAMES IN MINSK: ONE YEAR TO GO

In one year will start the second edition of the European Games. More than 4000 athletes from all 50 European National Olympic Committees (ENOCs) will expected in the capital of Belarusia, Minsk. The programme will include 15 sports, 10 of which will provide Olympic qualifications for Tokyo 2020. Judo is one of them.

The judo competition will be held from 22 – 25 June 2019 in the Chizhovka-Arena. In Minsk it will be the first time that a mixed team event will conclude the judo competition.

Altogether 400 judoka will gather in Minsk to search for the new medal winners of the second European Games.

Of the 12 competition venues to be used at Minsk 2019, 11 are existing facilities. Only the beach soccer venue had to be built from scratch. The first main test will be the European Judo Open in Minsk middle of August.
