The European Universities Judo Championships last took place in 2019 within Zagreb, Croatia. As it happens, four years on and it will return to Croatia’s capital where all of the combat sports are held together. In the previous edition, 300 participants from 125 different universities took part, including top stars such as Catarina COSTA and Patricia SAMPAIO of Portugal
It has been 12 years since the establishment of judo within these special championships, focussing on those in education and competing on behalf of their university every two years, starting in Bosnia and Herzegovina, moving to Portugal and France.
The technical draw will take place on Thursday 20th of July, with two days of individual competition to follow, concluding with the Mixed Team event on day three.
