FOUR EUROPEAN NOMINATIONS FOR IJF ATHLETES COMMISSION

During the IJF Congress on the 8th of June which will be held in the middle of the World Judo Championships, a new IJF Athlete’s Commission will be appointed. 

The nominations are in and from Europe are Matteo Marconcini, Marina Slutskaya, Gevrise Emane and Hilde Jager

The Athlete’s Commission is made up of 9 athletes, both active and retired, to issue it’s recommendations to the IJF and are involved in preparation of World Championships to ensure that athlete’s expectations and needs are met as well as a focus on post-competition and education. 

Five of the members will represent each of the continental unions and four are appointed by the IJF Executive Committee, the results will be announced within the competition week.
