GOVERNMENTAL SUPPORT

EJU President László TOTH used a workshop break the day before the 75th ORDINARY CONGRESS in BELGRADE for a summit meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Ana BRNABIC. The national side was represented by Judo Serbia President Ivan TODOROV and top Red Star Belgrade officials Stojan VUJKO and Ivan BOSNJAK.
“Serbia is a stronghold of judo and sport. We have agreed that we will work together even more closely in the future. We gratefully accept the invitation to hold an Executive Committee meeting in Belgrade in April to discuss further opportunities for cooperation in detail. We are planning to have a prime EJU event in Belgrade in 2026 again,” reported László Tóth.
“Our ambitious goal is to become a judo education and training centre for the region. This also includes organising more international competitions in Serbia,” confirmed the Prime Minister. “We are confident that our clubs will also be in the top ranks at the European Club Championships/ Champions League on Saturday in the Stark Arena,” said Ivan Todorov.
