The Games of the Small States of Europe (GSSE) are set to get underway soon in Andorra. The judo competition will take place at the Prat Gran Pavilion, with the individual tournament scheduled for May 27 and the mixed-team event on May 29. Notably, the event will be broadcast live for the first time, thanks to a collaboration between the European Olympic Committees (EOC) and the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), boosting visibility for the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) participating in this unique event.
This live stream will include the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and the full competition being shown on the EOC Channel, ensuring the GSSE becomes more accessible than ever. In addition to the live broadcast, ANOC will partner with the Organising Committee to provide targeted digital communications services for the nine NOCs, including a Digital Content Hub to distribute engaging content which can be used across their digital platforms.
The GSSE is one of the EOC’s multi-sport competitions and brings together athletes from European countries with fewer than one million inhabitants. The NOCs of Andorra, Cyprus, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, Monaco and San Marino will all participate in the 20th edition, taking place in Andorra from 26 to 31 May. The GSSE offers these nations a unique opportunity to shine on the continental stage. More than 800 athletes will compete across 19 sports.
