The 2026 World Judo Tour season commences on 7–8 February with the traditional Paris Grand Slam in France. Whilst this iconic event marks the competitive start to the year, delegations across the globe have already been preparing intensively for a season that promises major championships and compelling competition.
Ahead of the season’s opening, the International Judo Federation has confirmed the competition rules that will govern the year ahead, providing clarity for athletes, coaches and national federations as they finalise their preparations.
With the Paris Grand Slam just weeks away, European judoka will be eager to make their mark on home soil as the race for ranking points and championship qualifications begins in earnest.
