ISRAEL AND FRANCE TALENTS ENTERTAIN CROATIAN SPECTATORS

The first day of the Cadet European Cup in Zagreb offered excellent fights for the spectators, attractive ippons and an almost full “Sutinska vrela” sports hall were the highlights today.

The team of Israel won two gold medals and one bronze, while France took one gold but seven medals in total. Even the Croatian team didn’t win any medals today, for sure they could enjoy the action by the earlier mentioned Israeli’s and French.

“For the 11th year in a row we are organising the Cadet European Cup in Zagreb and it’s a pleasure to see more than 610 young judokas in Croatia. We believe that a good organisation and hospitality will help to all judoka on their way to the top. I wish you all good luck and have a great time in Zagreb”, said Sanda Corak, the President of the Croatian Judo Federation.

Admit Bobovich captured the gold medal in the biggest category of the competition in Zagreb, he was the best among 72 young athletes, an amazing performance achieved in the early afternoon as the organisation traditionally splits up the weight categories in two blocks with so many participants.

For tomorrow on schedule will be heavyweight categories, competition starts in 9.00am.
