The Junior European Cup, included in the 2026 activity calendar of the European Judo Union (EJU) and the Turkish Judo Federation, will be held in Istanbul from 2–3 May 2026.
Bringing together 502 judoka from 27 countries, the event provides an important international platform for Europe’s most promising young athletes. Across the two days of competition, judoka will contest medals in their respective weight categories, with high-level bouts expected in terms of technical skill, tactical awareness and competitive intensity.


Hosted by the Turkish Judo Federation, this prestigious event holds particular significance for the junior national team, offering valuable international experience and the opportunity to test themselves against top-level opposition. At the same time, it aims to enhance the global visibility of Turkish judo and contribute to the continued development of the sport.
Following the competition, the Istanbul EJU Junior Training Camp, scheduled for 4–6 May 2026, will further support athletes’ technical progression while strengthening sporting cooperation between nations.
The Turkish Judo Federation is carrying out all preparations with great care to ensure the event is delivered to the highest standards and extends its best wishes to all participating countries.
