The Judo Festival Online started on the 6th of June and has been a popular, successful initiative during difficult times for our community. Engaging with judoka of all ages in various disciplines, there has been something for everyone from children learning basic movements and balance to the more advanced individuals taking part in Kata sessions.
The opening session of the festival was held by Northern Irish judoka, Joyce Malley. The multiple Commonwealth Championship medallist and Veteran World and European Champion has provided three sessions so far, specifically yoga based stretching to aid mobility for judo.
The full playlist is available on our YouTube channel and can be accessed below, with the final live session streamed on the 27th of June.
These classes have offered yet another aspect of training for judoka and have received a great amount of positive feedback, enhancing movement and ability for participants of all ages. If you missed out, make sure you catch the last of the Judo Festival sessions with Joyce as well as our other instructors on YouTube.
