#JudoBacknumber Consolidates Partnership with EJU for 2026

Magyar László, CEO of #JudoBacknumber, represented the company at the official contract signing ceremony in Belgrade on 20 January 2026. The partnership between #JudoBacknumber and the EJU continues with the company serving as official sponsor for backnumbers and labels across European competitions.

Mr Magyar shared his reflections on the partnership’s achievements and outlined ambitious plans for the year ahead. Reflecting on the partnership’s most valuable outcomes, Mr Magyar highlighted two particularly significant milestones that exemplify the collaboration’s success.

“I would like to highlight two very important achievements amongst many,” he began. “One of them is the 2025 European Championship, where our company logo appeared on the backnumbers signed by the new champions, which significantly contributed to increasing the visibility of our brand.”

The second achievement demonstrates the partnership’s practical impact on business development. “Another outstanding accomplishment for us is that we have established very good relationships with many national associations in a short period of time, and we have participated in several successful co-operations during the past year. This is largely due to the fact that the marketing team of the European Judo Union has made contact with national associations and competition organisers smooth and efficient.”

As #JudoBacknumber renews its commitment for 2026, the company’s objectives reflect both consolidation of existing relationships and ambitious expansion plans.

“We would like to further deepen our existing relations and we would also like to build relationships with the national federations and clubs with which we have not had the opportunity to work together before,” Mr Magyar explained. “Our goal is to reach as many federations, clubs and athletes as possible, from the youngest to the veteran age groups.”

For #JudoBacknumber, success metrics extend beyond traditional business indicators to encompass relationship quality and client confidence.

“On one hand, there are national federations and clubs that place their trust in our products even when they do not order from us as a competition organiser,” Mr Magyar noted. “On the other hand, we serve a large number of returning clubs and individual customers. It is clear that reliability is of key importance to our clients, and one of the greatest values of sponsorship lies precisely in this trust.”

The partnership between #JudoBacknumber and European judo extends beyond commercial considerations.

“At the company, we believe that the joy of sport belongs to everyone,” Mr Magyar stated. “Supporting European judo for us is not only a business cooperation but also a conscious choice of values. Judo represents core values of respect, discipline, fair play, perseverance and mutual respect that are fully aligned with our values and social responsibility goals.”

He emphasised the importance of professional presentation in enhancing the sport’s credibility. “It is particularly important for us that the competitors have a consistent, professional appearance that enhances the quality of events and the credibility of the sport. Judo conveys not only sports performance but also human values and supporting them results in a positive social impact in the long term.”

Mr Magyar specifically referenced the EJU’s Get Together Tournament as an exemplary initiative that embodies these shared values. For 2026, #JudoBacknumber has identified several promising avenues for deepening the partnership through innovation and strategic communication.

“We see opportunities in joint communication and marketing campaigns that strengthen the visibility of both the EJU and partners, especially on digital platforms and social media,” Mr Magyar outlined. “We would also like to be involved in testing and implementing innovative solutions, whether it is new materials, more sustainable production processes, or product developments to improve the athlete’s experience.”

He concluded with optimism about the partnership’s potential. “We believe that closer, strategic cooperation in 2026 can create long-term value for both sides and further strengthen the position of European judo.”

JudoBacknumber plays a vital role in maintaining the professional standards and visual consistency of European judo competitions. By providing high-quality backnumbers and labels, the company ensures that athletes present a unified, professional appearance whilst competition organisers benefit from reliable, efficient service.

As the 2026 European judo calendar progresses, spanning championships, tour events, and grassroots competitions, #JudoBacknumber’s renewed commitment ensures continued excellence in this essential aspect of event management.
