Juniors tour starts from Lignano Sabbiadoro on the 4th and 5th of March. It is the 12th edition of Italian Juniors European Cup, but it is also the 40th edition of Tarcento Trophy, an historical event organized by Kuroki Judo Club.

As President of the European Judo Union let me express my heartfelt congratulations to Italian Federation for the 40th anniversary of the Lignano Junior European Cup – Trophy Tarcento. This is a historical event for everyone.
More than 340 athletes from 19 nations of 2 continents will participate to Lignano event.
The Trophy represents a prestigious and high-level event and an unmissable date in the national sports agenda – said Italian Federation president Domenico FALCONE – best young Italian and foreign judokas impatient emerge on their way to the Olympic dream of Paris 2024.
Italian delegation in under spotlight, counting 116 judoka and constituting the largest one among all. Giulia GIORGI will try to replicate the success of past year in -48kg female category. It will be interesting to follow Iacopo BARDUS and Daniel CLOCCHIATTI, outsider members of organizing team.
Another young promise that will fight in Lignano this year is Rebeka KELLER from Hungary. She won -52kg category in the past year obtaining a prestigious silver medal with seniors in Celje-Podcetrtek European Cup.
This year we’re honoured to choose Marjan Fabjan as our testimonial for the competition, – said Event Manager Gianluigi Pugnetti, – a longtime friend who, like us, started from the bottom to step on important tatami all around the world.
The premises for a great edition are all there… So, let Tarcento International Trophy begin!
