JUNIORS' NEXT STOP: PRAGUE

Junior European Judo Cup Prague

JUNIORS' NEXT STOP: PRAGUE

Prague will host the next Junior European Judo Cup this weekend. The organizers have received more than 350 entries from 28 countries. The hosting country has entered 40 perspective juniors with potential medal winners. The biggest hope is perhaps the winner of the Gdynia European Junior Cup, Marketa PAULUSOVA (+78kg), who commented;

“I am looking forward to competing in Prague. I was not satisfied with my performance in the tournaments I participated in earlier this year but in Poland I did quite well. I would surely like to repeat this result also in Prague and I will do my utmost. It is a very important tournament before the Junior European Championships and I would like to demonstrate that I am well prepared.”

Paulusova is not the only medal hope for the Czech judo family. Tomas BINHAK (-60kg) who has already won several medals from the European Junior Cups would also like to succeed in Prague. Also, other possible medal perspectives are Alice MATEJCKOVA (-78kg) and Vera ZEMANOVA (-57kg). The tournament will begin at 10:00 on the both days and can be followed live via the EJU website. The tournament will be followed by the EJU Training Camp in the Olympic Centre in Nymburk.
