Kodokan Seminar 2013 hosted in Rome

The new Olympic Center of the Italian Judo Federation in Ostia Lido – Rome will host the Kodokan Seminar from the 5 to the 10 of March 2013. After the success of the last year organization in Lignano, the EJU and Italian Judo Federation (FIJLKAM) will organize the 3rd edition of the traditional Kodokan Kata Course in Europe. The team of experts coming from Tokyo led by Japanese Judo President Haruki Uemura will be the teachers of the Course: a demonstration at the end of the Course gives the possibility to obtain the Kodokan Certificate for one Kata.

The program is:            

March 5 – Nage no Kata and Ju no Kata

March 6 – demonstration for Nage no Kata and Ju no Kata

March 7 – Katame no Kata and Kime no Kata

March 8 – demonstration for Katame no Kata and Kime no Kata

March 9 – Kodokan Goshinjutsu, Itsutsu no Kata and Koshiki no Kata

March 10 – demonstration for Kodokan Goshinjutsu, Itsutsu no Kata and Koshiki no Kata

During the Kodokan Kata Seminar, March 9 afternoon and March 10 morning and afternoon EJU and FIJLKAM will organize the Seminar “How to use Kata to teach Judo in a Club” a new didactic will be introduced by the Director of the Seminar Franco Capelletti.

This event, opened to EJU judo teachers, is the result of the development of Kata during these years and the excellent relationship between the Vice President Franco Capelletti and the President Haruki Uemura. The Organising information about the Events will be published soon.
