OBERWART AND ROME FOR MORE RANKING POINTS

The European tour carries on as our atletes are travelling from one city to another to continue the battle for crucial qualification points. The upcoming weekend Oberwart (AUT) will accommodate the women event whilst Rome (ITA) will host the tournament for the men categories.

In Oberwart, World Bronze medallist Amandine Buchard (FRA) will step up a weight category for the weekend and will compete in the U52 category. In the same weight category, World silver medallist, Andreea Chitu (ROU) also one to look out for at the weekend.

Corina Caprioriu (ROU) might have a chance for a revenge and rematch against Kaori Matsumoto (JPN) in the U57 category. Kathrin Unterwurzacher (AUT) and Hilde Drexler (AUT) will keep the crowd entertained in the U63 category, whilst aiming for another victory by Bernadette Graf (AUT) in the U70 category. Larisa Ceric (BIH) took bronze last weekend at the European Open in Sofia and she will be in action again this weekend to claim a spot on the podium in the O78 category.

Rome will see actions from 2013 European Champion, Amiran Papinashvili (GEO) in the U60 category, whilst Lasha Shavdatuashvili (GEO) will battle for victory in the U73 category. European bronze medallist, Sven Maresch (GER) will challenge the U81 category, whilst Beka Gviniashvili (GEO) and Alon Sasson (ISR) will fight for the victory in the U90 category. Strong line up in the O100 too as Marius Paskevicius (LTU), Adam Okruashvili (GEO), Matjaz Ceraj (SLO), Daniel Natea (ROU) and Or Sasson (ISR) are all in line to take the top of the podium.

Antonio Esposito (ITA), Giovanni Carollo (ITA) and Alessio Mascetti (ITA) are amongst the 28 players who will have the opportunity to shine front of the home supporters.

The draw will take place on Friday, the 13th of March at 20.00 local time.
