OTC 'Going for Gold' in Nymburk opened

Yesterday the EJU OTC ‘Going for Gold’ was opened by Sports Director Densign White. The training camp in Nymburk in the Czech Republic takes place from 10 until 19 March.
The Olympic Sports Center is located 50 km east of Prague in a quiet park environment and teams of 31 countries came to Nymburk to train.

There teams of Russia, France, Estonia, Algeria, Urkaine, Lithuania, Poland, Israel, Great Britain, Bulgaria, Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Slovenia, Slovakia and some teams are expected to arrive soon.

The EJU supported the top three athletes in the IJF World Ranking and those athletes.
Densign White: “The camp is well attended and there are 369 athletes attending. I opened the camp last night and addressed the athletes and coaches, men and women, who were training in separate halls.”

The EJU Sports Director gave brief information about the concept of the OTC and welcomed everyone to the historical town of Nymburk.

On Friday there is a coach commission meeting and during the week coaches can give their input how to improve to communication, the facilities during the events and general input to stimulate the best possible preparation in the road the London Olympic Games.

In between the training sessions of the morning and afternoon the judoka watched the terrible footage of the tsunami in Japan.
