OTC "Going for Gold"

OTC Malaga attracts good athletes and sunshine

The OTC Going for Gold in Malaga is the last OTC of the year. Sun, beach and judo, perfect combination.

Team from all over the place came to the south of Spain to take the last opportunity this year to train in a European Training Centre where the facilities are high … and the sun is shining in full force. With 28 degrees outside teams from Germany, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Egypt, Finland, Great Britain, Hungary, Israel, Czech Republic, Italy, Lithuania, Russia, Serbia, Sweden, Turkey, San Marino and Spain found the perfect environment to prepare. Some prepare for the European U23 Championships in Samokov and obviously many athletes will stay for the European Cup this weekend in Malaga. Among the athletes some hotshots like Olympic medallists from Russia (Galstyan) and Canada (Valois-Fortier). Also World medallists such as Miryam Roper and Spanish top athletes Uriarte, Bernabeu, Gomez train in a well known place. The OTC in Malaga is held for the third time and scheduled for next year as well. Possibly the OTC will be held after the European Cups but in general the same cities are scheduled in 2014. The OTC is a proven success and each year more participants join the opportunities to train with the best. Watch the OTC from past and present in our special OTC page.
