The European Judo Union is pleased to announce that the official outlines for the Győr European Hopes Judo Tournament have now been published. The event will be held from 16–17 August 2025 at the Olimpiai Sportpark in Győr, Hungary.
The European Judo Hopes Tournament and Technical Seminar is open to clubs from all EJU/IJF member federations. Participants compete on behalf of their club (not their national federation) and must be entered by the club. The IJF nationality rule does not apply; participants may hold a different nationality than the national federation registering them.
Registration must be completed via JudoManager by 1 August 2025.
As part of its athlete welfare strategy, the event emphasises safe and responsible weight management practices, encouraging participants to compete at their natural weight. In addition to the competition, young judoka will have the opportunity to learn from elite athletes, including one of Europe’s judo heroes and a representative expert from the Kodokan.
