Judo Føroyar is pleased to announce the results of its recent Annual General Meeting, where the new Executive Committee was elected and confirmed.
The new committee is organised as follows:
- Peter Sigurd Johannesen (HJF) – President
- Kristianna S. á Túgvu (SJF) – Vice-President
- Sofus D. Johannesen (SJF) – Treasurer
- Sanna N. Djurhuus (HJF) – General Secretary
- Andrias Sumberg (SJ) – Board Member
- Myrna E. Fjallsbak (VJF) – Alternate Member
- Magnus Pauli Glerfoss (KJF) – Additional Member

Judo Føroyar extends its sincere thanks to Silja and Tóki for their dedication and service to the committee, and warmly welcomes Petur Sigurð Johannesen to the chairmanship, wishing him every success in his new role. Past years, the newly elected President has remained active, regularly competing on the veterans’ circuit.
A special note of gratitude goes to Sofus D. Johannesen, who has tirelessly held the chairmanship for many years. His commitment and perseverance have been instrumental in keeping judo in the Faroe Islands strong and thriving, without his leadership, the sport would not be where it is today.
With a new team in place and plenty on the agenda, Judo Føroyar looks forward to an exciting and productive year ahead for the judo community across the islands.
