Poznan Junior European Cup 2024

POZNAN AWAITS JUNIORS

Over 400 junior athletes are heading to Poznan, Poland, to compete over the 13th and 14th of April. The Junior European Cup brought great success for the home team, including gold medal wins for Grzegorz TERESINSKI (+100kg) and Kinga KLIMCZAK (-52kg).

Neither athlete will be competing in this edition, however the hosts are not lacking potential with the likes of 2022 Junior European Champion, Ksawery IGNASIAK in the -60kg category and Kinga CHMIELEWSKA (-57kg) who has proven herself twice this year in Junior European Open events, with bronze in Sarajevo and more recently a gold in Podgorica. Nevertheless, with 83 entries, they are improving their chances of podium spots.

From outside of Europe, there are strong and seeded athletes from Kazakhstan and Australia in the mix who could disrupt the European run of things. Watch the two day event live at JudoTV.com and catch the draw at 20:00 on Friday 12th.
