PROSPEROUS GROWTH AT THE 4TH JUDO FESTIVAL

The 4th edition of the Judo Festival has come to an end, yet, a very successful end. The sporty town of Porec saw judo in every shape and form for the past 10 days. From little children practicing with their family, to Olympic Champions battling it out in the tent of sweat and joy, whilst scientists as well as researchers from all across Europe discussed important development plans. The President of the European Judo Union, Sergey Soloveychik, expressed his thoughts about the 4th Judo Festival;

“I am glad to admit that the 4th edition of the Judo Festival turned to be successful and attracted many families from across Europe and surprisingly even from South Africa.

“I would like to congratulate the Croatian Judo Federation and the Team of the EJU Vice President Jane Bridge with an achievement – they managed to organise the Festival in a rather short notice. I am happy to see that under the leadership of our Education team the Festival is growing every year, and now, when we have made an agreement with the CEO of Plava Laguna Mr Staver to stage the Judo Festival in Poreč in parallel with the OTC Going for Gold in the next 4 years, we can polish this fine tradition of offering great conditions for family summer holidays in sunny Croatia.“
