PSG WOMEN'S TEAM CAN HOPE

The supposed Champions League men’s dream final between RED STAR BELGRADE (SRB, including European and former world champion Nemanja Majdov) and PARIS SAINT GERMAIN JUDO (FRA, with superstar Teddy Riner and Georgian Olympic champions Lasha SHAVDATUASHVILI and Lasha BEKAURI) will not take place. That was eventually clear by 13:30 on Saturday in Belgrade.

Both favourites had stumbled in the semifinals. PSG lost 3:1 against OJK Belgrade. Teddy Riner’s (+90) victory was not enough. Meanwhile, the local heroes were beaten 2:3 by ARIS JC (GRE).
Paris SG’s star female ensemble – including Amandine Buchard/-52, Lucy Renshall/-63, Marie-Eve Gahie/-70 and Romane Dicko/+70) – made it to the final on paper, keeping alive the French women’s dream of winning their first Champions League title. In any case, victory will go to the “Grande Nation” – their opponents in the final are JC Pontault Combault (FRA).
