The European Judo Union welcomes all researchers to participate in the 8th Scientific and Professional Conference “Applicable Research in Judo”, taking place in Zagreb from 12–13 November 2025. The conference will be held prior to the Zagreb Judo Grand Prix 2025 tournament and all conference participants will have the opportunity to attend the tournament.

About the Conference
The aim of the conference is to connect the science and research in Judo with Judo practice. This includes linking Judo science and research with practice by putting theories and research findings directly into the function of Judo development and promotion. It also involves encouraging the implementation of new technologies in sport and fostering collaboration among all those who are involved in or wish to engage in research in Judo or apply research results. Another goal is to establish a permanent network of researchers in Judo, as well as those who utilise their findings.
Additionally, it is important to support the integration of research into sports practice and to promote Judo as a sport that positively impacts both growth and development, as well as health. Educating coaches, competitors, and other sport officials in Judo is also a key objective. Furthermore, the aim is to highlight the multidisciplinary aspects of Judo, which can be studied from the perspectives of physical education and kinesiology, as well as anthropology, psychology, sociology, economics, management, history, education, and other scientific disciplines. Ultimately, the overarching goal is to continuously improve the quality and value of the sport.
