Senior European Cup Sarajevo 2025 is a new opportunity for many to fall in love with the bosnian capital, but also to present themselves to domestic judo fans in the best possible way. The first day of the competition, which gathered more than 300 athletes from 30 countries, from four continents, will be remembered for the two gold medals of Italian judoka.
Angelo PANTANO triumphed in the category up to 66 kilograms, defeating Mihrac AKKUS (Turkiye). She brought the second gold to Italy Raffaella Lelia CIANO, who was better than compatriot Sara Corbo in the final of the -63 kilogram category. With two more bronze medals, Italy ended the first day of competition as the most successful nation.
The competition at the Senior European CupSarajevo 2025, which takes place in the great conditions of the sports hall of the Hills Hotel, continues tomorrow with the preliminary matches starting at 10:00.
